Ceramic Fiber Blanket or Mat Products are versatile high temperature insulation made from high-purity ceramic fibers. The long fibers manufactured by spinning process are needled together into a continuous mat to produce an inter-locked structure of high-temperature fibers with superior tensile strength.
Ceramic Fiber Blankets do not contain organic binders and thus do not produce off-gassing or objectionable odor. They are available in standard 24” and 48” widths and thickness from ½” to 2”. Pre-cut blanket strips can be made available in other widths for custom needs upon request. They can be an economical and versatile option where the heat-containment surfaces and shapes are irregular and do not lend themselves to use Ceramic Fiber Boards.
Ceramic Fiber Blankets can be a practical solution when the investment in a mold for rigid Vacuum Formed Shapes or Precast Refractory Shapes is not possible due to cost or lead times.
Ceramic Fiber Blankets are also available in the Wet Blanket form with an inorganic binder added to it. Wet Blankets, also commonly known as Wetpack, when dried become rigid and could be a stop-gap substitute for Vacuum Formed Shapes or Precast Refractory Shapes during the developmental phase of a project.
Wet Blankets generally have higher density and provide superior resistance against hot gas velocity and mechanical abrasion similar to Vacuum Formed Shapes or Precast Refractory Shapes.
Custom sizes and die-cut shapes are also available for these products.

Available Product Types
HIGH-PURITY 2400 Blanket is produced from high purity Alumina and Silica raw materials. With its low impurity chemical make-up, it provides improved service life and superior thermal performance over the Kaolin-based blanket products on the market.
AZS 2600 Blanket is a high temperature refractory blanket produced from high purity Alumina, Zirconia and Silica materials. This product has exceptional thermal stability at elevated temperatures and is recommended for applications above the service limit of HIGH-PURITY 2400 Blanket and below 2600º F.
Alumina Fiber Mat and Alumina Fiber Blanket products are made from Polycrystalline Alumina Fibers. These products contain 95% - 97% Alumina and are very low in Silica. Alumina Fiber Mat and Alumina Fiber Blanket can be used where the use temperatures exceed 2600ºF. They are also an excellent accessory to T-Cast Fuel Cell Insulation for use in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells, Furnaces and Kilns having reducing atmospheres, Syngas Production and Nuclear Reactors where the presence of Silica is not desired.
