Gemcolite® Ceramic Fiber Board - 2300 and 2600 Series
Versatile insulating materials for 2300ºF and 2600ºF applications
Gemcolite Ceramic Fiber Board
This vacuum formed blend of alumina-silica fibers includes both inorganic and organic binders for excellent handling strength and board integrity at high temperatures. Water and oil won't damage the board; it retains its excellent physical properties.
Special no-smoke formulations are available.
Excellent Energy Conservation
Low thermal conductivity and heat storage make Gemcolite boards and wet blankets outstanding energy savers. Thermal shock resistance permits fast cycling without cracking or spalling. Boards may be surface treated to provide additional erosion resistance for use in more hostile environments.
Applications include:
Boiler and Water heater linings for combustion areas
Ceramic kiln linings
Industrial furnace linings
Backup insulation for castables, brick, etc.
Usable anywhere high temperature insulation is required
