Mineral Wool Refractory Fiber Shapes

Mineral Wool Insulating Shapes for use at Temperature up to 2100ºF
Versatility and Economy
Gemcowool® is vacuum formed mineral wool insulation into a variety of flat or curved shapes to meet customers' lower temperature insulating requirements with exceptional economy. Gemcowool® refractory shapes can be utilized in many of the same applications as refractory ceramic fiber insulating shapes, provided temperature does not exceed 2100°F (1150°C). They are also useful as backup material for other types of refractories.

Outstanding Energy Savings
Low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, and excellent insulating properties make Gemcowool® refractory shapes important conserves of energy. Superior resistance to thermal shock permits quick heat ups and cool downs without cracking or spalling. Non-wetting properties and high refractory characteristics are distinct advantages.
